1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) governs your use of all services offered by BGSA Web Hosting. This policy is designed to protect our users, our systems, and the internet community at large from irresponsible or illegal activities.
2. Prohibited Activities
You are strictly prohibited from using our services for the following activities:
- **Illegal Content:** Hosting, distributing, or linking to content that is illegal in the United States, your local jurisdiction, or the laws of any applicable country. This includes, but is not limited to, copyrighted material without proper authorization, child pornography, or content promoting violence.
- **Spamming:** Sending unsolicited bulk emails (SPAM) or commercial advertisements in violation of applicable laws and regulations.
- **Phishing & Fraud:** Engaging in deceptive practices such as phishing, pharming, or other fraudulent activities.
- **Malware:** Hosting or distributing malicious software, viruses, worms, Trojans, or other harmful code.
- **Hacking:** Unauthorized access or attempts to access any computer system or network without the owner's permission.
- **Network Abuse:** Any activity that disrupts or interferes with the stability or normal functioning of our network or services. This includes, but is not limited to, DDoS attacks or intentionally overloading servers.
- **Harassment & Defamation:** Transmitting or hosting content that is defamatory, libelous, harassing, or discriminatory based on race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.
3. Fair Usage Policy
All shared hosting plans are subject to our Fair Usage Policy. While we offer "unlimited" resources, this is for typical website usage. We reserve the right to suspend or limit services for any user who is found to be consuming excessive server resources to the detriment of other users on the shared server. Examples of excessive use include:
- Using the server as a file storage or backup repository.
- Running large databases that consume a disproportionate amount of memory and CPU.
- Running resource-intensive scripts or applications.
Customers found to be in violation of this policy will be notified and may be required to upgrade their plan or reduce their resource usage.
4. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your services without a refund. We reserve the right to take any action necessary to protect the integrity of our network and the safety of our users.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violations of this AUP by another customer, please report it immediately to our legal team at abuse@bgsawebhosting.com.
